Indian film industry is the largest industry producing about
900 films per annum across 52 languages. The Film Achieves division
was established in February 1964 to safeguard the heritage of Indian
cinema and to spread healthy film culture across the nation. The
institute screens some of the treasured movies from the past to
celebrate occasions and pay homage some of the eminent film makers
in India. From first film to first talkie, the institute has tried
assemble, treasure and maintain a record of Indian as well as
foreign films.
