founded in 1890 as 'Lord Ray Museum', this museum displays an
array of items relating to agriculture, arms and armory, forestry,
geology, handicrafts, industry, natural history and textiles. Stone
carvings, oil paintings, marble statues and brass ware are also some
of the attractions of the museum.
Samples of body structures from elephants to sea-fishes is the
peculiarity of this 130 year old museum. The museum is located on
Ghole Road, Shivajinagar. One can reach museum by hiring an auto
rickshaw.
