Dr. B.R. Ambedkar holds a very respectable position in Indian
history. He is known as father of Indian Constitution, wrote world's
largest constitution. Pune has been a center for Buddhist revival
movement started by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. This man has inspired many
and hence his belongings and contributions have been compiled in the
form of a museum.
This museum has incorporated many of his belongings from the day of
his birth till his last breath. The bed on which Ambedkar took his
last breath also hold a special place in the museum. Likewise his
spectacles, silver ink bottle with the picture of British Queen,
letters written in his own handwriting, his paintings form an
integral part of the museum.
After the museum finishes we see a statue of his which is made up
of marble. When you climb up the stairs you can see the lines
written on the Bharat Ratna award which he received from President
