Narayan Peth, bulid by Narayanrao Pehwa houses the office of
Daily News Paper 'Kesari' and is located in the heart of the Pune
city. Lokmanya Tilak, great freedom fighter started 'Kesari' from
Narayan Peth's Gaikwad Wada. This is the reason why this place is
now better known as 'Gaikwad Wada' or 'Kesari Wada'.
Recently renovation of the Wada has been done where you can see the
big Library and exhibition of the objects used by Lokmanya. Now a
days you can find a big stationary, printing and Paper market in
'Narayan Peth'. Sambhaji Bridge or Lakadi pool (bridge) and Kesari
Office are some famous places which are some of the famous places.
