The land of rivers and lakes is small but important part of
Pune. Three rivers; Mula, Mutha and Bhima pass through eastern part
of the city. Warvard, Kasudi and Matuba are famous lakes in the
reign. Government of Maharashtra is shifting some of its important
industries to this reign. Daund, in this reign is also known as the
Chemical Zone of Maharashtra. Mayeshwari Wildlife Sanctuary in
Shirur is visited by a large number of foreign visitors.
